Des\u00a0dels anys 50 en endavant, empreses com\u00a0BASF, Dow Chemical o DuPont han liderat\u00a0aquesta revoluci\u00f3 tecnol\u00f2gica, amb\u00a0pol\u00edmers com el polipropil\u00e8, el poliestir\u00e8\u00a0o el policlorur de vinil. En l\u2019actualitat, la\u00a0recerca puntera lluita per aconseguir\u00a0pl\u00e0stics biocompatibles i biodegradables per reduir l\u2019impacte ambiental\u00a0d\u2019aquesta revoluci\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">L\u2019estructura polim\u00e8rica del pl\u00e0stic t\u00e9\u00a0l\u2019avantatge de fer-lo molt durador i\u00a0resistent per\u00f2 t\u00e9 l\u2019inconvenient de ser\u00a0molt poc biodegradable.
